Good news~!

I think I have a job interview tomorrow~ （笑）

I'll be going to New York tomorrow on my own. Some family friends recommended me to a company and they'll be taking me there... (^^;)

I've been very nervous about finding a job since I started living here, since I feel like everything depends on it. There are so many things I want to accomplish in my life, and somehow, having a job makes it feel a lot more possible. (>_<)

All right!

This will be a fresh, fresh start! （笑）

These are the things I want to do:

1) Study graphic and web design. Whether it's by self-study or through lessons or a school, I want to study this and become more proficient. It takes time, so I will have to make time. I've started reading and picking up my pencils again.
I'm also going to start being active on the Toradora! Tumblr that I have, as an exercise in simple things like photo editing/arranging/whatnot. I hope to get better with time.

2) Learn dance. I know it's easy to find dance studios in the area. I will learn and persevere. Hiphop and ballet, anyone? （笑）

3) In case I find it difficult to get into a dance studio, (or in addition to learning dance) I want to study a martial art. Since it promotes discipline and inner strength, and sense of self, I want to pick up one. I saw several karate studios nearby, I think it will be fairly easy to get to one.

4) This is just a side note, but as a fourth thing, I want to pass my driving test on my first try. Because I want to show up my mom who failed the written test three times (although she didn't have to take a practical.)

5) I want a place of my own, and a kitchen of my own. This is self-explanatory. I want my own apaaatoooo.

6) I'm planning to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December, so I'll be self-studying and translating manga and songs as a project within the next, er, 6 months?

I think this is it for now? （笑）
My dreams aren't impossible, are they? （笑）

I actually painted this for fun a couple of weeks ago, but I guess it only became a lot more relevant now.

I have always wanted ear cuffs, and so I decided to make my own. (^^)
They came out better than I expected--and I now have a way to really put my jewelry wire to use. (笑)

Glass beads are also a good touch, I think. Metal and glass, hohoho.

I still have to fix a glitch in their making and make sure the ends of the wires don't irritate the skin of the ear~

Shocking as it was, a lot of people came to eat in Mcdo after the Toujin GA even though I was worried that people wouldn't fit or wouldn't be able to eat or...I don't know. (笑)

I think that, thanks to a couple of quick lessons, I might be able to get my drawing groove back. (笑)

Recovery~

I'm finally recovering from chicken pox! At least, well enough to post a happy (but masked) photo of myself.（笑）

I haven't been able to do much the past couple of days, owing to this whole fiasco, but I was asked to burn a copy of the soundtrack of Boys Over Flowers as a gift for a family friend. I drew on the cover. （笑）

Thankfully, Kae came around at 5pm to help out, too. My mom and aunt really helped out, they're pretty much craft artisans and I am a mere disciple.(笑)

Felt rather sick towards the end of the evening though. (>_<) I guess it's because I'm really tired? I haven't gotten enough sleep the past two, three nights.

I'm worried about this week too! So many last minute changes are going on and I'm overwhelmed by it all.(^^;)

First day back~

First day back at school! (^o^)/

As blur as i thought i was today, I adjusted to class quite quickly. (^^)

Since i had only one class today, i spent the rest of the day catching up with some friends, particularly Kae since she'd been off in Davao for most of the Christmas vacation. And for the first time in ages, i was able to play Mario Kart on the DS with Martin and Nico.

I'm still horrible at it (come on, 6 rounds and not a single win LOL) but well, its fun nonetheless. (^^;)

I am still looking forward to the Taiko no Tatsujin challenge that was put forward to me about a month ago. I may not be excellent right now (^^;) but I've vastly improved at the game already, since the last time i played against someone was almost 2 years back. It'll be interesting to see her again for this challenge. (^_^)

Since i lost my yellow mechanical pencil (or rather, i can't find it) I went to National Bookstore today to buy mechanical pencils. And i bought three pretty expensive ones, so the only way i can redeem myself is by using them often!! (>o<)

I guess it's about time i picked up these pencils and started drawing again, eh? I still have that little "project" that i've been putting off (again).

It's the first time I've actually celebrated your birthday! (^^) If only i was able to have yakiniku today, LOL. Gomen, gomen! (^^;) I forgot to bring candles to school today, so I couldn't even buy a cupcake...boo...

Well, today was an amusing day spent with some friends criticizing the Hollywood version of AVATAR, and of course, criticizing New Moon and the rest of its franchise. Its shocking what some fans will do. we went through a list online and the events are just...ugh. (>_<)

Still, at the end of the day, I went out with some other groupmates to Mcdonald's (^o^)/

We're going out tomorrow for a group project--we have an event to attend and criticize (lol, today is full of criticism) for our Events Management class. Well, it's also an excuse to go out and have fun, so I hope i get some good photographs from tomorrow. Till then, see you!

I miss Tantei Gakuen Q~ !! I hope the scanlators hurry up with it, the manga really *is* better than the anime!! Ryuu is considerably snarkier there, and his character I guess is developed better?

...I couldn't make a cake, LOL. (^^;)

But i have this !!

Is it amusing enough? And yes, i do play with my food. (^^)

And well, it's ironic that i finally finish the Tantei Gakuen Q "Formal Photoshoot" with Ryuu in a Chinese-themed outfit.
