先月はめちゃ忙しいんだ（＾＾；）

そして、今週にたくさんの試験があるんだ～
もう疲れた～

Finally in New Jersey!

God, that trip was maddening. (O_O)
Basically, we left the Philippines on Oct 17 at 6am, and the flight took us to Beijing first. From Beijing, we took another plane to New York where we were picked up, and that's the overview of the flight.

I'm not so sure I'm too thrilled about travelling this far. I was happier during the stopover in Beijing. (^_^;)

Here's a basic transcript of my thoughts during the flight.

Oct.17: 8am Beijing Time

Breakfast was finally served on the plane. I was starving and basically didn't care anymore. Once again, China proves that mushrooms save my life.

Oct 17: 12:30pm Beijing Time

The flight to Beijing took longer than I'd expected. The moment I step off the plane, a blast of cold air hits my face. My first thought: "Where the hell is the aircon?" You can't tell from the picture, but it was that cold. (O_o)

Since I had some excess Chinese currency from my trip several years ago, my mom and I decided to spend it right then and there. Airport shopping!! Managed to get some nice things, actually.

Funny moment at the airport though--I left my jacket in one of the waiting areas! I realized it when we were in line to board the plane. I ran at full speed to get it and skidded like an idiot on the tiled floor.
One of the female maintenance staff saw the whole thing and laughed. It wasn't a mocking laugh, it was actually quite a nice laugh. I'm glad I made her day. I guess she doesn't see things like that often. It was actually the first time I felt good about the trip.

I had some misgivings when I heard some Americans complaining about a lot of things while we were in line, like how when we were called to board, they didn't call us by section. I distinctly heard one of them say, "Well, that's dumb." Hmm. Not a very good impression on me, really.

Though there was a nice story from some woman behind us in line. She was telling her companion about how some stranger was asking around and flashing a passport at them asking if they knew the person on the passport. It was apparently a lost item and the stranger was trying to get it back to the owner. The lady commented how lucky the person who lost the passport was. There were still tickets and other things inside. I would have to agree.

Oct. 17: 2pm Beijing Time

On the plane headed for New York. Lunch was just served and I am so glad I grabbed the seafood option, I don't think I'd felt this satisfied about a food choice in a while. Still have an unpleasant feeling in stomach though, that has nothing to do with food. Hm.
Being in a plane full of Americans is starting to make me feel uncomfortable. People all around keep either socializing (not too bad) or just butting in among others (kind of bad).

Oct 17: 5pm Beijing Time
Karate Kid just finished airing as an in-flight movie. I'm glad they cut out the bad parts though. I wasn't too fond of the movie, but hey, it reminded me of home nonetheless. Was thinking of doing some Tai Chi in the back of the plane but was worried that I would attract too much attention/get picked on by the Chinese on board the flight.

Oct 17: 9pm Beijing Time
Dinner was served. I got too lazy to take a photo, plus I was hungry and I couldn't find my phone. Muh. I had spaghetti then. It was surprisingly good. Or maybe I was just starving like whoah.

I also somehow got roped into a Tai Chi conversation with two foreigners in the back of the plane. I was amused.

Oct 18: 12mn Beijing time
Getting very close now to New York. Only two more hours from this point and then it's all bright and sunny 2pm instead of dark 2am. I'm getting a little more worried , definitely. It struck me again how much I missed everyone.

Also, about 90% of the Caucasians on board the flight were strangely overweight. Erm. Just an observation. A disturbing one.

Oct 17: 3pm NEW YORK TIME.

FINALLY got out of the airport. Getting rushed off into a car to my aunt's house now.


Driving wherever. I have no idea how this will turn out, but I hope it's going to be enjoyable at the very least.

Bad day (>_<)

Today was the 2nd round for Aka Myaku, our Host Club~

It turned out well enough, and I enjoyed parading around and such...

Although somewhere towards the end I had to be taken in a wheelchair to the infirmary--a serious headache left me pretty much immobile and weak. (>o<)/ I conked out in the infirmary bed for more than an hour, I think.

Then later, went to a tai chi session where I pretty much failed. (笑) It's not too big a deal though--tai chi is very difficult to learn.

But what made my day really horrible was the fact that my group mates in my Philosophy class decided to ax me--they did all the work without giving me a chance to do anything. It was enough to make me feel really frustrated--I wanted to flip tables. (笑)

Nonetheless, I know I will have to pull through this on my own. (>_<) It was just so frustrating; I really couldn't help but give in to a sort of rage that I've never really had before. But at the bottom of that rage was a kind of steadiness I can't explain. Perhaps there's a way out of this?

Tomorrow, I will go to my first ever UAAP game. FEU vs Ateneo, for the first game of the finals. I never thought I would actually see a game live.

I hope things work out, and that tomorrow is another opportunity for me to just be happy.

Late for work (>_<)

I was kind of late for work today. (>_<)
Since I'm no longer hitching with Raizza to go to work (she's finished with her hours already), I need to get to Makati all by my lonesome. (笑)

This morning was a hassle though, because my mother wanted me to try taking this shuttle that, she thought, went straight to The Fort, or at least to Ayala. Big mistake, it didn't even come close, and the routes are erratic there too. Muhhh~ (>_<)I ended up getting off at a nearby train station and take the train in order to get me to the bus stop that goes directly to my building. (T_T) As you can see in the photo I took of the station, I was already 5 minutes late for work and counting. Then when I got to the bus stop, the line was EPICALLY LONG. (^^;)

In the end I spent more money on a ride which took me nowhere near my destination when I could have spent much, much less if she had just taken me straight to the train station near our place. (T_T) Maah maah. I hope tomorrow will be better. For now, I want ice cream. (>_<)

Japanese practice -日本語 練習

昨日は、あまり働かなかった。（笑）
今日は、忙しい！Greenbeltに行きました！

暑い！！後で、電車で大学へ行きました。

I tried. （笑）In any case, we interns had to go to Makati Ave on an emergency errand. The office kept calling me on my cell phone to check on us, I think because of nerves that we wouldn't make it in time. Thankfully, we did, and I'm glad for it. Though there was a bit of a panic when I realized that the money the agency gave me for the errand was sort by nearly a thousand pesos--thankfully it was all cleared up and it wasn't much trouble. However, I got slightly lost in the Makati area thanks to some confusing directions from my fellow intern Raizza, but in the end I managed to reach the train station and take the train back to campus, and in time for class too. I still feel very rusty in the language and so I need to practice. Forgive me if you're able to spot any kind of mistake--I'm still learning!!

extremely tired

I know my mother only wants the best for me but this has gone too far. I'm honestly very tired of her attitude and I'm tired of having to argue with her. For one thing she did not have the right to look at my text messages, especially without my permission and without any good reason. And now she's raised hell about it.

I'm tired, angry and I am not ready for tomorrow.

Go and die in a fire, world. (>_<)

Holy Week has concluded!

Happy Easter, everyone!!! (笑)

The last couple of days have been filled with lots of food!! (笑)

Vegetable pizza (>_<) And delicious Easter lunch~

On a random note, my return to the internet was less than pleasant.
As most of you may not have known, I got an F in Theology, aka Fr Dacanay's class. So, obviously, I'm risking getting some privileges taken away from me; one of those privileges being free use of my laptop.
I don't know exactly how to negotiate my way out of it; either way, I give up something distinctly important to me. My mother is actually implying that I give up my social life, i.e. I don't go out anymore, I go straight home and study all the way till I graduate. Which, of course, is a very unfair thing. (>_<)

I can probably try my best to get out of it by officially adopting a study habit of studying for two hours every time I get home. And maybe keeping my room clean and organized.

I hope things will be fine. (T_T)

Friday Madness!

Today, for the second time in my life, I meet Kae's sister, Rei! There she is, above Maita and I. Rei will be entering ADMU as a freshman this coming school year! I hope to be a good senpai. (笑)

She actually got to meet a lot of people today. I introduced her to EA, whom I've mentioned before as our band's guitarist (^^); Justin, who is an incoming 3rd year now and is leaving for Junior Term Abroad in the middle of the year (;o;); and of course, Nikki and Kip. In a sense she got to meet representatives of every year level. (^o^)

We shall take very good care of her! (^^)

I had a really fun day. Even if it consisted of mostly touring Rei around campus and being as awesome a tour guide as I could be. (笑)

A sad incident occurred after though: soon after Nikki and Kip left, they really landed into trouble. A motorcycle (with two people) ran past the both of them while they were trying to cross a side street. Kip was able to keep Nikki from getting run over, but the person on the back of the motorcycle reached out and SNATCHED Nikki's laptop out of her arms. Nikki called me some time after the incident--it was really shocking, since I was in Kae's car with her family (they were taking me home) and was already nearly at my front door.

So to whoever reads this entry: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU'RE WALKING ON KATIPUNAN WITH YOUR BELONGINGS. This happened on that side street where KFC is located. Be extra careful, everyone!!!

Thankfully, Kae came around at 5pm to help out, too. My mom and aunt really helped out, they're pretty much craft artisans and I am a mere disciple.(笑)

Felt rather sick towards the end of the evening though. (>_<) I guess it's because I'm really tired? I haven't gotten enough sleep the past two, three nights.

I'm worried about this week too! So many last minute changes are going on and I'm overwhelmed by it all.(^^;)

Dancing, Driving, and...Kimono tops

I finally got the kimono tops done!(^o^)I had a white one made, and a pink one too! The white one serves as an undergarment.(笑)

Today, I was invited by June (aka Buchou) to Ochibi's house! Haha, sounds quite odd, considering it's Ochibi's house and not hers. (笑)

Thera, Diane, and Amantha were there too. They were all working on their project and I tagged along. They were supposed to go to Saizen afterwards, but I wasn't able to go since I had a dentist appointment. (>_<)

After a while, I realized why I actually agreed to go: To keep Kin-chan distracted while the rest of Seigaku worked on the project. (笑) Just kidding, Kin-chan!

Well, of course, with Kin-chan involved, there was much dancing and flailing around; She was dancing, I was flailing. (笑)

I am still slowly learning Tenimyu steps! (笑)

The problem with Kin-chan--she will annoy you first before letting you learn. (笑)

I left Ochibi's house for my dentist appointment, and I discovered there that I had a pretty deep cavity. (>_<)
I had a little work done on it, and it kind of stung. (>_<)having a cavity filled is mildly painful (>o<)

Regarding driving...The car just got a tune-up today, which is normally good news...
However, I've only been driving for a few weeks and I was not used to the "new settings" for the car. On my first turn I nearly hit the sidewalk.

Which set my mom's horrible mood off, and for nearly thirty minutes she would not let up on me, she kept barking orders at me even when I was just telling her to chill..
and finally she freaking PUNCHED my arm.

WHILE I WAS DRIVING.

It was not nice. (>_<)

And it hurt.

I rarely complain about such things, but this was a real blow to me and I don't appreciate violent moves anymore, not after certain incidents. And what if she had punched me and I had accidentally swerved? We could have gotten into even bigger accidents. I was not happy about this. She's in a better mood now, but she hasn't apologized for punching me, which i don't like either.

This is the only thing I don't like about driving, how agitated my mom gets when she is in the passenger seat.

/sigh.

I hope this doesn't happen again.

Things just happen...

Last night, we held BREAK, a hiphop dance party that my events management group organized. This is me in the car, on the way to the venue earlier that afternoon. (>_<)
Sorry, I don't have photos of the event itself. (笑) Let's wait for photos from our event photographers, yes? (笑)

The event in itself was a success~ The dancers were amazing, really! I wish I could dance like them... (笑)
I never thought I would actually get out on the dance floor though~ (笑) I enjoyed it a lot, even though I'm not that good.
I didn't intend to drink, but was kind of pressured to down a shot of vodka anyway. Thankfully, I'm not the type to get drunk easily~ ♪

Things truly went downhill at the very end, though it didn't affect the main event. Someone almost got drunk, and another really did, quite badly, if I may add.
I bruised my knee in the process of running around trying to help. (>_<) My knee will turn purple in a few days...

Time to take a hot shower before bed. I'm thankful it's the weekend~ ♪

Cramming~

So, I've been cramming for an exam since 11:30 yesterday, taking note that it's past midnight now, LOL. (^^;)

...and I just sneezed.

I'm taking the exam earlier than the others because I have important volunteer work to do during the exam time. Not only that, our final examinations take place on Thursday! (>o<)

I hope I do well.

In any case, it's too bad that I can't take photos while I'm at my area for the volunteer work, cell phones are not allowed during work hours, plus they *are* a distraction. Hahaha...

I actually don't mind working like this, if anything, I really would like to look for a part-time job. Still, though, it's difficult to find and maintain one, and on top of that, I am quite preoccupied with my own personal goals.

Now see, if Ochibi and Kin-chan (no wait, actually. Kin-chan. Just Kin-chan) didn't tease me so often, I would actually beg them to teach me to dance.

In private. Without uncontrollable laughter.

What a day...

First of all, notice the new header? (^o^)

Isn't it awesome? I slaved over it for like a night with better coloring and a neater look. <3

Today was registration for classes. Considering the random number i'd been assigned, I was supposed to register by 9am.

However, i had to consult with a teacher regarding my lack of units for this semester, so I went to school at around 7am in order to have things straightened out.

Fortunately it was rectified, but i missed my batching for registration; the teacher arrived so late, even though i'd been advised by the department secretary to come early. I basically wasted my morning. (;_;)

Even worse, the registration committee told me I had to return AFTER lunch--i couldn't even join the succeeding batch after mine. so unfair. (T_T)

Thankfully i had the company of a few friends (You know who you are, much love to you all <3)

In addition, i got an amusing lineup of sections:

I hope i won't be saying that by the end of the sem. (>_<)

It was cold today. D: Spent the entire time wrapped up in a thick jacket, although someone wanted to steal it from me. (>_>)

Hope the weather stays pleasantly cool though--even if i hated the brief rain showers that fell today.

I'm going out with a bunch of friends tomorrow !! So until then, I'll say bye for now.
