Finally!

Thanks to help from my bff-waifu Kimm, I managed to understand and edit the HTML for this blog, and now I've given it an overhaul!

What do you guys think? (笑)

I'll probably add more things to the site as time goes by. (^^) It was difficult, staring at the HTML and cleaning up some of it, searching for other templates and doing research, just to get this result. Thankfully, in the end, it was actually a simple enough process. (笑) I'll be able to handle it better next time~

I know that it's been a very long time since I made a proper blog post, and I owe everyone some photos. (笑) Not to worry! I'll make sure to write more!(I hope.)

So far I think I'm surviving, and I'm also a little pleased that my deviantART account is starting to live again. I've been working on my drawing and coloring lately, and I hope to get better.

I feel like I always say that, but never really finish?

Easier said than done, I guess. (笑)

I might be spreading myself a little too thin over the things I want to do, but I think eventually things will even out, and I'll know what I can accomplish.

I'll do what I can!

Oh, and, I made a very emotional post on Tumblr yesterday, regarding the Harry Potter series.

I don't think I want to post it here again. (笑) I don't want to cry!

But yes, Harry Potter has been my childhood...I learned a lot from it, and it has made an impact on my speech and writing...it encouraged me to read...I feel very sad that we've come to the end of an era.

I'll be watching the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, tomorrow in New York.

I think I should bring either a handkerchief, or a box of tissues. (笑)

Aaaah!

Guess what I saw on a spontaneous trip to Gateway?

PIRATES 4~ ♪

I cannot wait to watch it! Although sadly, I will not be able to watch it with my usual movie-watching group--I will be in the United States by then. I hope I still have fun though!

I will make this the end~!

Working on a last extra credit paper and some Japanese homework. I can do this!

Just watched Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away"~ ♪

It was a really good movie! I can only hope I can make an equally good critique that will impress my teacher. I really owe my teachers this semester--they went out on a limb for me. I must not fail them (>_<)

Now to finish it all off~

頑張ります~

For Narniaaaa!

Watched The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader last night!
Do I look like an awesome Captain for the Dawn Treader? (笑)

I really enjoyed the movie.
It helped me consider so many things about myself, particularly conquering my inner dark side. I could relate so well with Lucy and her wanting to be as beautiful as Susan; I get so insecure about these things, too.

It actually made me resolve to be more confident in my own self-worth. It's about time I picked myself up completely, yes? (笑)

Descpicable Me!

Watched it in 3D last night!

Awesome movie, made us all laugh like crazy. I haven't gone to the movies in a while, it was kind of refreshing to get out and go to the mall.

And since we were in Shangri-la, I got to get noodles at my favorite noodle stand there. I love these kinds of food stalls, I swear. Its like street food, only cleaner.

Now that I think about it, I kind of miss hanging around a mall. But first I need money to spend. Muh.

Hopefully I will be able to do this again soon! I miss the arcade too. (笑)

KARATE KID (^^)

Watched Karate Kid last night! (^o^)
Jackie Chan wins forever, and I love the setting in China--I've been to both the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, so I loved seeing those places in the movie.

The movie had its fail moments, but at the very least, it had us all cheering for Jaden in the end. We had a lot of fun.

And I got my pizza wish (>_<)

Teru Teru Bozu~

Since it's been rather hot these past few days, and even though brief rainshowers have been passing through the neighborhood recently, it's really not enough to cool most of us down. Muh~ (>_<)

In light of that, (and because of the movie Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu) I made a little Japanese weather fortune doll to hang in my window. (^o^)/

It's called a "teru teru bozu", and normally you see it hanging upright (with the head up) in order to promise sunny weather. But if you hang it upside down (like i did) it promises to bring rain. Which I think we all need. (>w<)/

Maah, try to make some of your own! Let's spread the weather fortune dolls around, maybe the more we make, the sooner rain will come down. (>w<)/

ETA [6:27pm]: IT RAINED JUST NOW! YAY!

IRON MAN 2 !!

Haha, I just came home from watching Iron Man 2 with friends. The movie was great, even though I hadn't watched the first movie at all. I was pretty much able to follow it.
Oh, and a tip for those who are about to watch it: Stay till after the credits!! There is an extra scene, and it caused a lot of excitement among the audience.

So, with that, I'd like to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OCHIBI!!!!!

I will do my best to bring you "Ore-sama" when I come over sometime. (^_^) Or something. (>_<) Hahaha! Hope you had a good day~

Alice in Wonderland!

We watched Alice in Wonderland earlier! OPENING NIGHT~ ♪
It was a really good movie, haha. Johnny Depp is awesome, just awesome! The entire movie gives Wonderland a whole new dimension, and Alice a whole new dimension too. (^^)

I LOVE THE MAD HATTER!!! And the Cheshire cat, too!!

Haha, a photo taken before leaving school to watch Alice in Wonderland. I lay down on the low wall surrounding the library's fountain. It's a very cozy place to nap, if you're up for it. The stone is warm from the sun, but the area is vary shaded thanks to the large building. Also, the water from the fountain makes everything cool.

I think it's a great spot. (>_<)

SHERLOCK HOLMES!

Finally watched Sherlock Holmes, after a very long wait! Since I no longer have any more exams to study for, Kae and I went off to the mall so I could FINALLY watch the damned movie. (>o<)

It was really epic. The music was very fitting, and the movie was overall very witty and action-packed.

I really appreciated how different and more self-sufficient Watson was portrayed by Jude Law, as well as Robert Downey Jr's quirky and mad-genius interpretation of Holmes. They had a good relationship with each other and played the roles so naturally. Casting was good for them. (^^)

"Relax, I'm a doctor."
Jude Law's Watson kicked so much ass. His wit and intelligence as a medical man came out here in the movie, which isn't as heavily shown in the original books, since Watson was nothing more than a recorder of details and an observer. Here, he willingly participates and openly helps Holmes not just with his revolver, but his great faith and belief in his friend, despite his obviously heavily strained relationship with Mary, and his amazing clash with Holmes.
Also, the dynamic between Holmes and Watson both as friends, partners-in-"crime", and colleagues, is very well portrayed. Watson's patience regarding Holmes' usual crap is virtually almost endless. Some weaknesses of Watson are shown too, like his apparent habit for gambling, and his desire to keep a clean reputation sometimes becomes an obsession. Overall, a very fresh and very , very engaging profile of Watson right here. (>_<) ♥

"You've never complained about my methods before."
Robert Downey Jr. was an excellent Holmes. The movie!Holmes goes beyond what we normally see in books, and most certainly beyond what we expect him to be. Holmes has been seen too often as someone who never gets his hands dirty, smokes a pipe and is all refined. Sadly, that isn't the case. He's a dramatic, crazy genius who depends on cocaine (or terrorizing the house on Baker street with his experiments) when he's not working on a case. And when he works on a case, he really goes all the way, down and dirty with evidence and other messy details. The greatest difference between Holmes and his brother Mycroft (mentioned very briefly in the movie) Is that Holmes has the energy and the drive to actually go out and look for the truth. Robert Downey Jr. certainly showed all this: the madness, the strength, the intellect, and the tenacity of Holmes, from the hair on his head to the overused soles of his shoes. ♥

Overall, an epic movie filled with romance (just enough to kee p certain things juicy), mystery, action (tons of it), and even comedy. Totally worth the price of going to see it.

I'm going to get my hands on the soundtrack if it's the last thing i do! ♪
