Pandas!

Today a bunch of friends and I went out to watch A Christmas Carol~! (^o^)/

I kinda forgot to take a photo next to the poster (/sweat) but the cinema was so full of New Moon billboards and standees and posters that...well, i decided not to even try. (^^;)

Well, it was a pretty entertaining film (Christmas Carol, not New Moon) , and we had fun going round the mall looking at clothes and stuff, at least for me and Kae--Maita dragged the boys off to other clothing stores, so i dunno what happened to them. (^^;)

I haven't been able to update lately, i find that i've been too tired to blog and upload when i come home (T_T)

And to top it all off, yesterday was a day of absolute fail.

I collapsed in my philosophy class yesterday, making me miss half the period and miss my other class after it. bugger (>o<)

i was basically kind of conked out in the infirmary for almost 3 hours, and the nurses wouldn't let me out without a companion, so meh. (._.)

And i will go to school soon, and drag my guitar with me so that Evil!Martin can do something with it. Booooooooooooo. (>_<)

maaa~ so late~

these past couple of days i've taken pictures and gone around doing crazy things, but haven't blogged about them. (^^;)

I'll post pictures another time, but on a random note, i went to the grocery with Kae the other night, and since SM Marikina has smooth floors and a lot of space...I gave into one of my most childish hobbies.

SHOPPING CART RACING!!

Well, i don't know what else to call it. (^^;) The design of the shopping carts at the grocery must be designed to support a lot of weight, because you can actually place one foot on the cart's bottom rung and push off with the other foot, and you'd basically be coasting along freely on a shopping cart with barely any risk of falling off or unbalancing. (>o<)/

It's like, i dunno. skateboarding plus driving, hahaha. (^^;)

Needless to say Kae was amused, and it was evident that i'd done such things countless times, considering i actually did few spins and tried to BACK UP out of the main doors of the mall. I actually rode the cart down the parking lot slope for the lulz, but the bumpy ride wasn't as enjoyable. Nonetheless, it's actually possible to use the cart as a vehicle, you could literally ride a cart home, LOL!

Shopping cart racing is best done on a tiled floor, inside a mall. as long as you don't hit anyone or anything. (^^;)

Damn, there should be a competition in malls sometime. (>o<)

Okay so last Friday, i went out with some friends to go to Gateway. We ate at Taco Bell, and this is what we found.

We spent the day playing at Timezone and being random.

Now today was the baptism of one of my nephews, and my godchild, who is the most adorable thing on earth was there, of course, since her younger brother was the one being christened.

IS SHE NOT THE MOST ADORABLE THING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN. IS SHE NOT?! I ADORE HER (>o<) I WANT TO PICK HER UP AND HUG HER BUT I HAVE TO BE THE

...I'm not exactly the "bibbity bobbity boo" fairy godmother, but I guess I will be once she grows up a little bit. I would dote on her more if I had a job and money to spare. (>o<) I want to giveher pretty things~

Yesterday's events and today's lunch. (^^;)

Well, since i was too lazy to blog yesterday, I give you details and lol.

Yesterday I used Spam to make my lunch, and ended up with Spam Musubi.

Today though, i rolled it like sushi to make eating easier.

I was bored. And now I need to think of more lunch choices. (^^;)

So, yesterday's events:

The guard finally managed to get it open after I requested long-nosed pliers from the Hobby and Crafts store that shares the space with Cello's Donuts. And then suggested that they put tape over the hole where the tumbler falls into in the doorframe, so that the door wouldn't lock anymore. because another employee got locked in. (ROFL XD)

And until now i wonder to myself why i volunteered to be a beadle in Sir Rudy (Narciso)'s class.

See, I'm taking a Japanese elective called "Japanese Business Management and Labor" and apparently, i'm the only third year in a sea of 4th year students. (>o<)/

I don't know why I volunteered--it's extra work for me but well. orz it's not so bad, i may as well volunteer now instead of never. (._.)

funny thing though, we got split into groups and were asked to come to the front to choose the topic we were supposed to discuss later in the sem.

and in order to choose, we were asked to pick from a number of facedown playing cards on the table, LOL.

I got the nine of spades. I'm amused, considering i love the number nine. And the topic it got us--Product and Product Promotion-- is due to be reported on the 26th of January. (I'm amused, and guess why.)

Our course syllabus is interesting--come on, we have a topic on "Salaryman recruitment and training", and a friend of mine got the topic. I told him, "I expect you to come to class with a necktie around your head on the day of the presentation!" LOL.

I can only hope that my organizational and paranoid skills will help me as a beadle. (/sweat)

I have my first class in Visual Communication tomorrow, my 4:30-7pm class on Wednesdays. I'm kind of excited and nervous about it. (>_<)

And i should sleep now if i have any hope of attending Father Dacanay's class tomorrow on time.

So, here I am, leeching wi-fi off Ateneo again, and sitting in the Japanese Department (^_^)v

Wearing the hat because it was hot today and I didn't have a hair tie to use. Boo. Still though, today was a fun day, even if it was the first day of classes.

Today, my only class was with my current slightly nightmare teacher, Fr. Dacanay. He teaches Theology 131, and like i said earlier, is rumored to be the best teacher for the subject. However, he is quite a terror when it comes to teaching, and is very very strict. He gave us a layout of rules in his class, some of which i will probably discuss if i ever find them necessary. (>o<)

Suffice it to say, it's going to be difficult to please him.

A couple of friends and I went off to Katipunan this afternoon to play a little Rockband. Gelo and Karen got all excited about Beatles Rockband, and so we tried it out. My only concern, of course, was improving my skills at the guitar.

Sadly though, I'm not used to these songs--I barely listen to the Beatles, and plus, i already have a slightly difficult time with regular rock songs in Rockband.

in addition, I really prefer Guitarfreaks for some odd reason. I guess it's because i really prefer Japanese songs? (/shrug)

Currently freaking out at the moment because after Kae took a look at one of Nakagauchi Masataka's music videos, she gave me a strange look--

Mostly because when Masa sang in the video, he held the mic a certain way, and even played with the mic stand a lot.

...Which is exactly what I did last time i gave a karaoke performance. from the way the mic was held down to playing with the mic stand.(/SWEAT)

And I'd never seen the video before the karaoke day.

And this morning I had to get up early for an exam at AHEAD. If any of you guys recall, I applied as an academic tutor in hopes of getting a part-time job. They gave me an application form to fill out along with an IQ test, an English exam that covered both grammar and reading comprehension, a Math exam and a Science exam. It was pretty mind-wringing. Even though I normally do pretty well in English, I found myself stumbling over some questions in test paper. (>_<) I'd actually go so far as to say that I think I did better in the Math and Science portions than I did in English--and Math is my epic weakness, save for Geometry. (>o<)

Well, at the very least I was able to get through it. I'll be texted the results of the exam and if I pass, I'll be giving a teaching demo for them. (^^;)

Well, on a much brighter note, we just bought some ice cream from the grocery today. We got two flavors, cheese and double dutch, LOL. (>w<)b

Cheese ice cream with chocolate syrup. 8D My personal weird concoction that no one else will touch. ROFL. (^w^)/

So much randomness today. XD

First off, there was a Smart promo at ADMU wherein if you were one of the first 200 to fall in line with a photocopy of your ID and a subscription confirmation text from the school regarding its new system of text messaging announcements through the Smart network, you'd be able to claim a FREE Smartbro kit, which is a plug-in USB that acts as a portable wi-fi router. Basically, internet anytime, anywhere. Of course I woke early to claim it, i wouldn't miss such an opportunity. So ta-da, free wireless prepaid internet. \(^o^)/

In addition, the kit was "limited edition"--the USB had been covered with a design of our university team, the Ateneo Blue Eagles. It looks quite cool, actually.

Afterwards though, since we'd made plans, some friends and i trooped off to Greenhills. Marts needed to have his PSP's firmware updated, so that was his basic errand, while we tagged along to bug him, of course. There was much chaos in Data Blitz while we looked for interesting games.

There were repeated zombielike squeaks of "brains~", "cheese", and (for some odd reason) "sisig".

We had lunch, of course. a trip to Sizzling Seafoods provided us with delicious servings of grilled squid and rice.

Yum. It cost more than 100 pesos, but really, BIG servings plus a small bowl of soup and drinks--definitely a good deal. I always go back to that place, i swear. Seafood FTW! 8D

I don't know HOW we never noticed this recently, but..

THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. One side has an escalator while the other one is just plain stairs. (O.o) And the banister for the stairs is still the kind used with escalators. Its no wonder some people stop at the top of the steps and expect it to move under their feet.

All this we noticed while buying takoyaki. XD

I know it's probably not genuine or the real absolute deal, but it is still satisfying to eat. (^^;)

Gotta work with what you can get.

to top it all off, Kae and I played some arcade games at Timezone. I'd like to think that i'm getting better at Dancemaniax/DanceFreaks whatever it's called--but yes, more practice is definitely needed. Dance Dance Revolution however, needs a LOT of work for me. I still have two messed up feet. o(>o<)o

And just to finish the day, i attacked Marts' coffee bun, since he was being too lazy to touch it.

What a day...

Today was registration for classes. Considering the random number i'd been assigned, I was supposed to register by 9am.

However, i had to consult with a teacher regarding my lack of units for this semester, so I went to school at around 7am in order to have things straightened out.

Fortunately it was rectified, but i missed my batching for registration; the teacher arrived so late, even though i'd been advised by the department secretary to come early. I basically wasted my morning. (;_;)

Even worse, the registration committee told me I had to return AFTER lunch--i couldn't even join the succeeding batch after mine. so unfair. (T_T)

Thankfully i had the company of a few friends (You know who you are, much love to you all <3)

Today, when my grandparents arrived, we visited a relative's house where, lo and behold, there was a TIGER on the front porch. O_o

I'm not kidding. and it was ALIVE. my mom thought it was a stuffed animal or a statue at first, but it YAWNED and started moving. (>o<)

...Well of course I've always wanted a pet tiger, so.

I would have sat next to the tiger, but.. After seeing it chew ferociously on a towel and play with it like it was its prey, I kinda didn't want to go any nearer than this. If i were assured that it was tame...then maybe i would have petted it. (>_<)

..And so that was the high point of my day. We don't get many chances to get near wild animals, so. i decided to take my chance, though i think there was a 64% chance of me getting mauled. \(>o<)/

Just got home from from a quick trip out with my mom and her friends. One of her friends had a daughter around my age, so my mom thought it would be nice to have me tag along. She seemed shy at first, but we got along just fine. (^^)

I really regret not taking photos now since i ate something pretty good at La Creperie--it was called the Croque Monsieur (which i thought was named pretty weirdly, but whatever), which was basically ham and Gruyere cheese between two slices of crunchy, toasted bread, topped with bechamel sauce and melted cheese...along with a side salad.

it tasted richer than i expected--while it was delicious, i think i would have enjoyed it better with less bechamel sauce. the creamy sauce made it quite heavy--the side dish of salad was a refreshing change, really. (>_<) I never thought i'd say that about salad, considering i'm not too happy about vegetables.

My grandparents are coming home tomorrow. /glub, glub. I can't say i'm very excited about this--the house certainly isn't THAT ready for visitors and everyone is very high-strung at the moment. :<

I'm going to see if i can try to figure out some decent layout for this blog once and for all within this week. hopefully. (^^; )

Seriously, LOL. I guess this is what you get when you go for cheap products that are a rip-off of actual brands--imagine a brand called "Pensonic" !

Today's visit to the cemetery was pretty uneventful, although the heat was so bad i couldn't take it. We actually got up pretty late, and so did my other relatives, so we arrived at MIDDAY, when the sun was at it's peak. The humidity here is crazy, i swear.

After paying my respects and eating a little, I realized I really had to go home--my stomach was not cooperating with me today. (^^; ) Thankfully the cemetery is within walking distance from my home, so I was allowed to leave. Needless to say the first thing i did was jump into the shower and scrub myself clean--being hot and sticky is not pleasant. orz

While i was walking home though, i saw this:

Yes, it is a big purple car. O.o Who drives purple cars nowadays? O_o

...Not that I'd really want to know. Interesting color choice. (^^; )
